Although we live surrounded by technological advancements, there are still some service models, such as the ticket based access control to events or even boarding a plane, amongst others, which are certainly vulnerable to dishonest practices and identity theft due to these service models themselves highly depending on human factors such as the validation criterion which is subjective and, in most cases, inaccurate.
With this project, our main goal is to use the state-of-the-art techniques for both face detection, recognition and verification (artificial intelligence) so as to uniquely link these nominative assets to their owner in a way that these are also self-contained, having all the required biometric information within. – This property is of great importance since this keeps us away from any legal formalities as there is no personal information to be stored at the back-end – QR codes will be used for this purpose since these are easy to use, read and print and their great versatility.

“Threats and vulnerabilities are increasingly appearing online and preying on both systems and service models.
Some films and series such as Mr. Robot make us somehow feel all these facts further than they should be and actually are.
It is, then, essential to raise awareness among users and, as a service provider, deliver optimal protective mechanisms and resources for clients to be safe.“
